As Women’s Health Week begins, Canadian advocates are calling for urgent action to close the gender gap in health research and care. Despite making up half the population, women’s health receives only 6.8% of research funding in Canada. Organizations like Women’s Health Collective Canada are pushing for a national women’s health strategy, better data, and dedicated funding to ensure women, trans, and non-binary people get the care they deserve.
