Vital Talks

Vital Talks is a national seminar series spotlighting the science shaping better care for women in Canada.

Each event brings together leading researchers, clinicians, and people with lived experience to translate credible evidence into clear guidance for patients, providers, and policymakers.

Sessions focus on what the evidence shows (and what it doesn't), practical steps women can take now, and the system changes needed to close gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.

Beyond the Cycle: Lifelong Hormonal Health

Presented by Vichy Laboratoires, this Vital Talks session explored how hormonal patterns — including menstrual cycles — shape women's health across the lifespan. From adolescence through menopause and beyond, hormones influence cardiovascular health, metabolism, skin biology, and overall well-being.

The discussion examined how menstrual and hormonal signals can offer early insight into broader health issues, why these signals are still often misunderstood or dismissed, and how research, clinical care, and better tools can improve care at every stage of life.
